Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has been taken aback by the club's coaching change.
On Friday, Andrea Stramaccioni was sacked and replaced by Walter Mazzarri.
"I don't think there is much to say," commented Cambiasso. "It has been a negative campaign, not up to the standard set by the history of this club. It's finished now and we have the pain of knowing it was a bad campaign.
"From now on we look forward to get back to positive seasons. Every year is different from the others, whether we start with a new Coach, staff or players.
"When we begin a new campaign, we can't look at the past. We can only focus on what we have to do now.
"Our fans will always be there for us and we have a huge obligation to repay them. The supporters are the engine of this team."
