Esteban Cambiasso has jumped to the defence of Inter Milan teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede has been criticised for his performance in Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Manchester United, but Cambiasso says: "It is unfair to load everything on one player. There have been decisive matches in which he was very important for us.

"In Italy there is a tendency to say that who is decisive is only the one who scores, sometimes he can be decisive even without scoring, he is for us in so many matches.

"I do not have to defend him, but he is very important as a player, he still has long way to go, and I believe that together we will win many trophies."
