Camacho: Barcelona's Xavi deserves FIFA award

Former Spain coach Jose Antonio Camacho is backing Barcelona ace Xavi to win the FIFA Player of the Year trophy.

Camacho says Xavi deserves to be named World Player of the Year ahead of Barca teammates Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.

"At no time in Spanish football history has seven players been nominated for the FIFA World Player of the Year. This is proof that Spain and Barcelona are in a sweet moment. I would give the prize to Xavi for what he did with the national team and with Barca last year.

"What is indisputable is that someone will win from Barca."
