A brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin has helped secure a much needed 3-0 win for Everton over Sunderland on Wednesday night.
The Carabao Cup third round clash was stagnant until Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring with seven minutes to go in the first half.
The 20-year-old then doubled the Toffees lead shortly after the restart with an emphatic finish past Jason Steele.
Oumar Niasse, who was included in his first squad for the Toffees this season, sealed the win on 82 minutes as Ronald Koeman's side snapped their four-game losing streak.
