Callum Wilson insists Bournemouth can handle losing Matt Ritchie and Tommy Elphick.
Ritchie has signed with Newcastle, while Elphick moved to Aston Villa.
Wilson told the Daily Echo: "They were key players in us getting promoted and were great characters on and off the pitch, who will be missed. I'm glad to have played alongside them and shared a title-winning season with them.
"Being a Premier League club you are going to attract top players and I'm sure the manager has been working hard to try and fill those gaps.
"When you have just been promoted to the Premier League, players are hesitant about joining because they are not sure how you are going to match up in the league.
"But we have had a season in the Premier League now and that is going to attract more players. Some players might have it in their mind that we are quite new to the league but we are improving all the time.
"It's a work in progress moving the club forward and making it as big as we can."
