Callum Slattery ignores Arsenal to pen Southampton deal

Callum Slattery has signed pro terms with Southampton.

The Daily Star says Slattery has snubbed Arsenal to sign a two-year professional contract at St Mary's.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been tracking midfielder Slattery - the latest product of Saints' world famous youth academy - for the past two years.

Southampton director of football Les Reed said: "Callum has the correct profile to follow the pathway into the first team we have created."
