Ricky Sbragia was back at the helm after a break of almost 12 years.

Callum Gribbin and Charlie Scott struck to earn the draw for United after Salford jumped to a 2-0 lead.

Salford's goals came in the first half as Lois Maynard and Scott Burton scored in the space of four minutes.
