Calls for Malaysian football to be revamped

A report in The Star has indicated that Malaysian football needs to be revamped and changed for the better. Malaysian football fans are being turned away from the local game due to a lack of quality and are supporting other competitions such as the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga and Japan's J-League.

It comes down to the football associations to begin growing the game at grassroots level and ends at the top with the removal of the current president of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).

A new president and new board would freshen things at the top level in Malaysian football and recreate the era where the nation was feared by Asian rivals.
