Burnley defender Stephen Caldwell is desperate for manager Owen Coyle to reject interest from Celtic.
Caldwell told the Scottish Sun: "In football, if you're a player or a manager, success like that is going to attract interest from other teams. And clubs don't come much bigger than Celtic.
"The gaffer is a Celtic supporter as well, so it's maybe only natural he's going to be high up on their list of candidates to get the job. But I hope he stays put and we go into the Premiership as the unit which got us there.
"It's going to be a big challenge for Burnley next season, I think everyone knows that. It will be a big adventure. I think it will be hard for him to leave that because he'll be pitting his wits against the best managers in the world.
"Everyone at Burnley hopes he stays with us and keeps the unit together. What's served us so well in the last 12 months is that we are such a tight group. From the coaching staff to the players and everyone who works at the football club, we're very much together as one. The gaffer created such a tremendous bond and team spirit and we built on that.
"We're so comfortable in each other's company and that's down to the gaffer. He wants us to play attractive, winning football and do it with a smile on our faces. He really is a tremendous man to work for.
"He's hugely ambitious and that rubs off on the people around him. He's won promotion now, but that's not the limit to his hopes as a manager. He'll be looking forward now to being as successful as he possibly can be."
