Former Go Ahead Eagles coach Jimmy Calderwood has revealed Manchester United boss David Moyes was keen on moving to Holland less than a year ago. Moyes left Everton for United at the end of last season, but it could've been all so different, according to Calderwood.
He told Voetbal International: "It was about eight months ago during a match in Glasgow. Kenny (Moyes, David's brother and agent) asked if I could make inquiries in the Netherlands. I was stunned. Why would you as a manager of a stable Premier League club want to leave England?
"Moyes wanted to be active in the Champions League, he wanted to test himself and improve himself at that level. At Everton, this was not feasible."
