Ramon Calderon addressed the Real Madrid players yesterday before training after announcing his resignation.

Sources have told EFE, that Calderon welled up as he thanked the players and coaching staff for their support during his two years in charge.

Real sports directors Javier Lozano, Pedja Mijatovic and Miguel Angel Portugal were also present as Calderon urged the players to win the Champions League this season.

Later in the morning, new Real president Vicente Balouda met with the squad to convey his confidence in them.
