Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon fears Premier League clubs will dominate the transfer market in the years to come.
Manchester United beat Real Madrid to Paul Pogba's signing — for a world-record fee of £89million — and Calderon expects more players to snub Spain for England in the future.
He told The Sun: “When I saw Pogba, I saw a fantastic player in many senses, dribbling and assists, and he is very strong.
“Everyone would like to have him. But we didn't sign him because of the money.
“It will be a problem in the next years. English teams have four times the money of Spanish teams.
“That will be a handicap now for buying players and also for the players we already have — they can be tempted.
“Clubs in the middle of the top league in Spain are getting tempted by the second division in England."
