Tim Cahill has called on the Everton board to boost manager David Moyes' summer transfer kitty.

"You have to be realistic with the circumstances of finances, and the top-four clubs can blow everyone away at the moment," the midfielder told Sky Sports News.

"Where we are, we have to be happy - what the chairman has done, the backers, the manager and the players - all we do is worry about playing football and we let them worry about the financial side - but if we want to improve we have to spend and try and mix it with the best.

"We want to break into the top four, to play in the Champions League is a dream and something we strive towards.

"We have played in Europe and now we have a taste for it, we are in the FA Cup final - we are there and thereabouts but we now have to finish the job."
