Australia star Tim Cahill has tipped one of the Asian teams to perform well and surprise the rest of the nations at the World Cup which kicks off tomorrow.
The Everton midfielder and the Socceroos' star player, is of firm belief that a team from an Asian country can fly under the radar and take some scalps in South Africa.
"I think there's an outside chance an Asian team could do well, if only because we know how difficult it is to qualify from that group," said Cahill. "Maybe a lot of people will take them for granted."
Cahill also tipped Spain to win the tournament if Australia cannot and backed Liverpool and England midfielder Steven Gerrard to top the goalscorers list.
"Who do I think will win the World Cup? I'm a big fan of Spain. I love watching their players, they are a pleasure to watch. They are masters of how the game should be played," he added.
"And I think Steven Gerrard can be top scorer. Playing against him, he is someone that can change a game, and I think his form can come good in the World Cup."
