Everton's Tim Cahill was absolutely delighted after helping the side to a 1-0 home win over Tottenham on Saturday.
The Toffees produced their third win in five matches to extend their unbeaten run to seven in the league, allowing them to move up to ninth on the table.
Everton's narrow victory came courtesy of Nikica Jelavic's expert finish in the 22nd minute to mark his first goal for the club and Australian international Cahill was proud to be a part of such a character-building performance.
"It's hard for people to come here and get a result and we're kicking on and slowly getting points. We're worrying about the games one at a time which is the best way with a run of fixtures like ours.
"Personnel have come in, things have started to change and we've picked it up.
"The fitness of the lads is exceptional.
"Against Spurs we all played three or four positions.
"It was quite defensive at times but these teams can break down the best and we need to make sure we don't get broken down.
"We've got some tough games coming up and as long as we remember what the discipline is all about it can work.""These are the games, especially at home when we are really starting to be a force," he told the Liverpool Echo.
