Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has played questions over their pursuit of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney with a straight bat.

Cahill was asked about Chelsea's move for Rooney by Sky Sports.

"We all know about Wayne and how good a player he is. He's world class. I'm sure he'll sort out what he's doing in the near future."
