Australia's Tim Cahill has come through Saturday's international friendly against Paraguay in good order and will be fit for this weekend's Everton v Liverpool derby. The 30-year old has been slightly hampered by a knee injury in recent weeks but was able to get through the Socceroos' 1-0 win over the South Americans and that news has given a boost to the Toffees who are preparing for the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Everton are currently sitting 17th on the English Premier League table and will be determined to heap more misery on their arch rivals the Reds who are one place below them.
Cahill is a vital ingredient in David Moyes' set up and will be a major factor in whether the Toffees get a good result at home this weekend.
