Cahill to the rescue again for Everton

Liverpool have been denied by a late Tim Cahill header in the Merseyside derby overnight.

Reds skipper Steven Gerrard's 68th minute shot looked like it would be enough for his side to regain top billing in the Premier League but a customary Cahill piece of play earned the Toffees a point and kept their unbeaten run to six matches.

Liverpool have drawn level with Manchester United on points but the Red Devils have a superior goal difference plus a game in hand whilst Everton remain sixth on the table.
