Cahill to offer Everton chance to Aussie youngsters
Everton ace Tim Cahill will give elite young Australians a chance to train with the Premier League club.
Cahill’s youth clinics for children aged between 5 and 15 will be held in Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra in January and a selection of four will be given the opportunity to travel to Liverpool and train with the Toffees youth academy for a week.
The Socceroos star, who kicked off the clinics in June this year, is looking forward to having the special guests at the Merseyside club as he continues to play his part in junior development of Australian footballers.
“I’m extremely passionate about developing grass roots football in Australia and I’m delighted to be able to offer four children the chance to follow their dreams through the Tim Cahill Coaching Clinics,” he said.
“I look forward to meeting them and I am positive they will have a fantastic experience here at Everton.”

That's not to mention Barkley, Baines, Jagielka, Lundstrum, Coleman, etc who have come thru the Everton system.
But of course I'm sure you're right. Cahill must rue every day that he was coached by people like Moyes, Round, Stubbs and Irvine instead of super coach Culina, etc.
Wow, that's a super ignorant comment. You must drink at the same fountain as Foster and Murray.
England have just qualified for the Euros with everyone singing the praises of the young players Capello finally gave a chance to. They won the European U17 championships last year. They even managed to reach the U20 World Cup missing SIXTY first-choice players!
To compare U20's like Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck, Cleverley, McEachran, etc with the Oz equivalent isn't worth going into. Can you name one player - even U23 - who is capable to matching the Kewells and Vidukas of the past? No? Neither can I.
You need to grow up and take a serious look at the state of Oz coaching since it was influenced by the PFA, SBS moaners, etc.
these kids get better coaching in Australia. There has been scathing criticism of the English FA over its poor youth development programmes. refelected in poor performances by their natonal youth teams and even the full international side. But the excitement of going to england may give them extra incentive to train hard and win a contract overseas.
