Chelsea starlet Dom Solanke has revealed that Gary Cahill was the player to quickly welcome him into England senior training.
17-year old striker Solanke was given the opportunity to train with the Three Lions at St George's on Tuesday and admitted it was a daunting task made easier by club teammate Cahill who took him under his wing.
"I saw Gary Cahill and made eye contact," Solanke told TheFA.com after kitting up for Roy Hodgson's senior side.
"He'd been looking after me before, so I just went over with him for a quick talk before the session - he helped me feel comfortable."
Solanke was tuning up for the England U18s' clash with Switzerland in Walsall on Saturday when he was called up to train alongside England's best.
