Tim Cahill is being considered to take over as captain at Everton. The Australian international is one of a few names being thrown around by Toffees boss David Moyes who is going to have to eventually put somebody in the job when current skipper Phil Neville finishes his time in the game.
Moyes told the Liverpool Echo that Cahill was a realistic chance of leading the club in the future.
"I hope it's a real responsibility," Moyes said.
"I could easily make Tim Cahill captain, Tim Howard, Tony Hibbert or any of those boys who have been with us."
29-year old Cahill has been at Goodison Park since 2004 and has appeared in almost 150 league matches for the Toffees.
