Cahill insists Everton happy to pick up points however they can

Everton ace Tim Cahill says the fans may have to put up with a few more performances like Saturday's hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wolves.

The Toffees got the job done at Goodison Park to record just their second Premier League win in seven outings (five of which were losses) and Cahill feels it is important for the club to slowly get back to winning ways one game at a time after sitting precariously close to the relegation zone

"If we play ugly and get results, then so be it," the Australian international told the club's official website.

"We knew we would have to do so (on Saturday) because Wolves are tough opponents.

"But we have played some good football in the past few games and got nothing. Against Wolves we played a bit of football in patches, put some pressure on them and we got there in the end.

"The main thing for us is that we won against Wolves. Sometimes you win ugly, sometimes you win nice."
