Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has welcomed the England return of Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.
The midfielder is back in the squad for the first time since the World Cup, having suffered a knee ligament injury in training just before the season started.
Cahill told London Evening Standard: "For me, as a player, Ross has everything that you would want. He is strong, has a good right and left foot, he can pass, he is quick, he can shoot and pass. He ticks all the boxes to be a top player at the highest level.
"He broke on to the scene at Everton and done fantastically well. We are delighted to have him back in the England group after his injury.
"As a young lad he will get better and better but he is already a great player. It's exciting to see how he will grow for Everton and England.
"He is an England player that all fans will get excited about and will want to watch. It's important we don't put too much pressure on him.
"Ross is still a young lad and has a lot to learn but you look at his performances and all of us are excited to play with him."
