Cahill hails influence of Everton captain Neville

Tim Cahill hailed Everton captain Phil Neville after their draw at Tottenham.

Neville was in excellent form at White Hart Lane against Spurs, and kept dangerman Gareth Bale quiet for the majority of the game.

The former Manchester United defender won praise from both David Moyes and Harry Redknapp for his efforts and Cahill reinforced Neville's value to the Goodison Park club.

"It's no coincidence that when Phil Neville is out we seem to struggle quite a lot," Cahill told evertonfc.com.

He is someone that everyone turns to for guidance and leadership. He's been there and done it and he's won a lot of medals."
