Tim Cahill has admitted he is frustrated by the lack of luck that is falling the Australian team's way.
So far this World Cup, the Socceroos have had Cahill and Harry Kewell sent off in their two group stage matches as they have recorded just one point and the Everton midfielder was lamenting the fact the Aussies were pulling the short straw.
"I don't know what position we have ever been in where the odds have been with us," he told the SMH.
"I think for us, as a nation, we have never been given the fair go. But this is it, the mentality is we are very positive and we are a team."
As for Kewell who will miss the final Group D clash against Serbia, Cahill said that he and the team must move on.
"Obviously it's going to be a very hard week for H (Harry)," Cahill added.
"We are professionals and we have to accept this whether the decisions are borderline.
"It's one of those things - in two games, two red cards is hard to take - but how can we change the decision?"
