Gary Cahill's focus is on lifting Bolton Wanderers away from the dropzone.

The defender impressed for England on Friday in Montenegro.

But he said: "We have had a tough run of games. When I looked at the fixture list and saw that we had Man City, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in a short space of time, I knew it was going to be tough.

"But those games are over now and we can look forward to getting our season started.

"Conceding goals does get me down because I am a defender. But it hasn't knocked my confidence."
