Gary Cahill says anything that occurs off the pitch will not have any effect on the Chelsea players. The Blues lodged an official complaint with the Football Association against referee Mark Clattenburg for using 'inappropriate language' towards some of its players during the 3-2 loss to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday but Cahill insists that it had no bearing on the playing group who rallied to beat the Red Devils 5-4 in the Capital One Cup last night.
"It's important that we don't let anything affect us and we showed that won't happen," said Cahill.
"Whatever is going on off the pitch, players relish playing football."
