Cahill faces battle breaking up Terry, Luiz Chelsea partnership

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is delighted with the defensive partnership of John Terry and David Luiz.

Gary Cahill now faces a battle to break the combination.

"Our defence recently has improved a lot, since the Aston Villa game (a 3-1 defeat on New Year’s Eve). We don’t suffer so much. We showed good, solid organisation because, individually, the players stepped up a level," said AVB.

"John Terry and David Luiz have been outstanding recently. What I wanted was to keep the relationship. It’s not that I don’t trust the other partnerships but we decided there was no reason for a change."
