Cahill desperate for FA Cup glory with Everton

Tim Cahill is determined to experience an FA Cup triumph this season with his beloved Everton.

The Australian international has twice lost in the final of the famous competition - with Millwall in 2004 and Everton in 2009 - but this year he is desperate to go one further.

On Saturday, Cahill scored just his second goal of the season to force a quarter-final replay with Sunderland and he is hoping the Toffees can past the Black Cats to earn a spot in the semi-finals at Wembley before kicking on to the final.

"I've scored a few against them (Sunderland) and their fans are probably sick of the sight of me," Cahill said.

"I've lost in two FA Cup finals.

"I've been to Wembley and tasted defeat, but it still counts for a hell of a lot for me. I carry massive pride in this competition.

"To get to two finals and lose is heart-breaking, but there is pride in the achievement of getting to Wembley, too.

"You could say it is unfinished business for me."
