Tim Cahill is a chance of returning to Everton's starting line-up for Wednesday night's Carling Cup meeting with Chelsea.
The Toffees host the Blues in the fourth round at Goodison Park and Cahill is expected to be given a start by manager David Moyes after coming off the bench in the 3-1 Premier League win over Mark Schwarzer's Fulham on the weekend.
Cahill has appeared in all eight Everton league matches so far this season and also came off the bench in the cup when the Toffees needed extra-time to beat West Bromwich Albion on September 21 but he has not scored for the club since the 2-1 away win over Manchester City in December.
