Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill believes former Aston Villa teammate Gabby Agbonlahor will again hit the goal trail.

"I still speak to the lads I grew up with at Villa, including Gabby," Cahill told the Sunday Mercury. "He's worked hard to get to where he is.

"People are surprised that a young lad can come from nowhere and become an established Premier League striker in such a short space of time.

"It hasn't surprised me because I know Gabby and I know what he's capable of.

"The goals have dried up in the last couple of months, but strikers always go through that.

"He'll be back banging the goals in again soon, but hopefully not against us!"
