Gigi Cagni is delighted to have been installed as new Empoli coach.
Cagni has replaced Alberto Malesani, who left on Monday, and said: "When the club asked me to come back, I thought about it carefully and decided to accept.
"I am convinced that this team has what it takes to stay up and that the players will give everything they have physically and mentally.
"Obviously, I know the group and I know what to do to get the players ready for the seven Finals that are left to play.
"There's no point looking at the fixture list or counting the points needed for safety. We just have to focus on Sunday's opponents."
