Cagliari striker Robert Acquafresca has turned down the chance to play for Poland in this year's European Championships.

Although he is an Under-21 Italian international, Acquafresca is still available for Poland as he has not played for the Azzurri at senior level.

"I thank Poland, but I have made my decision. I will remain Italian in every sense," he commented.
