Cagliari have urged Genoa to make an offer for goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.

Genoa have expressed interest in the frozen out Italy international.

"I haven't spoken with [Genoa President Enrico] Preziosi and there isn't an agreement in place," said Cagliari president Massimo Cellino.

"However, I am ready to sell him Marchetti whenever he wants.

"We had discussions during the summer, but then Genoa signed Eduardo and nothing more happened.

"But I would have no problem in selling Marchetti now. I await Preziosi's call."
