Arsenal have been told to up their bid for Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti. Datasport says the Gunners have offered 6m to bring Marchetti to the Emirates Stadium.
Cagliari are holding out for 9m, but could be convinced to lower their expectations a little further.
"He expressed his desire to leave through the media," read a statement on the official Cagliari website yesterday.
"The club will do everything to make him happy, so if Marchetti does leave Cagliari, then our first choice will be Michael Agazzi.
"Cagliari are not looking for a different first choice goalkeeper."
