Cagliari striker Alessandro Matri is proud to have wrote himself in the club's record books.
Matri has entered the history books by matching Gigi Riva's record of seven consecutive games on target.
"To hear I'm in the history of Cagliari certainly is a great sensation, but we are talking about a legend like Riva who represents Italian football, so let's not get carried away with comparisons," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"It truly is a golden moment for me, especially as if I think back to the start of last season then perhaps a header like the one I scored against Napoli this weekend would not have gone in.
"In any case, I will continue working and thinking about the squad. I score goals only so I can contribute to saving the side from relegation."
