Cagliari sports chief Francesco Marroccu is expected to move to Leeds United.

TMW says Marroccu will leave Cagliari following their relegation and will soon be named new technical director at Elland Road.

Marroccu is known to Leeds owner Massimo Cellino and replaced Nicola Salerno at Cagliari when he left for Elland Road.

No formal announcement has been made with regard to Nicola Salerno departing Leeds, but he has not been seen at the club since he suspended former assistant coach Steve Thompson controversially in April.
