Cagliari have rejected a massive offer for young striker Alessandro Matri.

Napoli have confirmed their interest in Matri in the past week.

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino revealed: "Alessandro is 100 per cent staying. I'll spell it out clearly in such a way so that it remains indelible: I will not sell Matri."

When asked about interest from Napoli, Milan and Fiorentina, he said: "That's not my problem. Two days ago I refused €14m from an important team.

"I have an ambitious technical project in mind that I can't realise if I sell my players."
