Cagliari president Massimo Cellino insists they can still end their row with goalkeeper Federico Marchetti in a positive fashion.

A hearing has been scheduled for November 18, but Cellino hopes to avoid a situation like Claudio Lotito had at Lazio last season when Goran Pandev ended up walking away for free.

"Both sides are distant from each other," Cellino admitted.

"We are waiting for the arbitration court's decision on November 18.

"I believe that it was all a misunderstanding.

"The case is different from those of Pandev and Ledesma last season."
