Cagliari fined over fans racist chants

Cagliari have been fined for the racist chants of fans during defeat to Inter Milan.

They were fined €25,000 after supporters subjected Inter striker Samuel Eto'o to on Sunday.

The referee halted the game after three minutes at Sant'Elia and had a message read out over the loud speaker imploring the Cagliari fans to stop.

His actions were widely praised, although Cagliari insist that the chants weren't necessarily racist.
