Cagliari president Massimo Cellino has sacked coach Nedo Sonetti only days after reinstating him.

Sonetti was coaxed back to Cagliari last week after Cellino failed to convince Marco Giampaolo to return to the club for a second time this season.

But after yesterday's 5-1 reverse to Fiorentina, Sonetti has been dismissed, with an official word from Cagliari expected today.

Bruno Giordano and former Juventus star Antonio Conte have been linked with the job this morning.
