Cagliari coach Diego Lopez is confident president Massimo Cellino remains keen on the club.
Cellino agreed a deal to buy out 75 per cent of Leeds United and told English papers Cagliari were now in the past, as all he cared about was the Championship club.
"Obviously we hear the stories about the club, but we don't think about them and try to do our work in the usual way," said Coach Lopez in a Press conference.
"Besides, it's all coming via the papers. My rapport with Cellino remains unchanged, we still speak often and he is still the reference point.
"If anything, the media are forgetting we're still forced to play important games in a quarter of a stadium. This isn't discussed anymore and that is very sad."
