Caddis disappointed with Celtic first team chances

Youngster Paul Caddis is frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at Celtic under Tony Mowbray. The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Dundee United, has made just three SPL substitute appearances so far.

Caddis stopped short of saying he wanted to leave Parkhead, stating only his lack of football has been hard to swallow.

"It has been so disappointing. I'm still just trying to get a game," he told the MailSport.

"When I have played I've been everywhere on the pitch apart from in goals or at centre-back.

"It's especially disappointing after a good spell at Tannadice and the fact the manager came in with a reputation of having a philosophy for playing football. I thought that would have suited me.

"Everyone knows I like to get forward more than Hinkel although that might be a bit harsh because he has about nine assists this year.

"I haven't really been given any sort of encouragement from the gaffer that the situation might change. He has not said too much.

"The Europa League tie against Rapid Vienna was especially disappointing. I thought I might get my chance but he went with Wilson.

"I felt that was me going back a place again. They are now both in front of me.

"When I have played I've felt I've done well so that has added to the frustration.

"I've never had a run - I've never started an SPL game at Celtic and that's hard to take."
