Newcastle United midfielder Remy Cabella is hitting the gym to handle the rigours of the Premier League.
Cabella's upsurge in form has coincided with John Carver's promotion to the head coach role at St James' Park.
"I have gained eight pounds of muscle mass since I came to Newcastle," he said.
"I feel much better because when I first arrived I used to get knocked over more easily.
"I do bodybuilding from time to time at the club and also alone at home.
"I've needed several months to get used to it all and I still need more time but know I will succeed.
"A lot of people in France wondered why I joined Newcastle but I never had any doubts. I knew I would need time to be successful."
