Cabaye will be happier at Crystal Palace after being 'lost' at PSG - Deschamps

France national coach Didier Deschamps is hoping for midfielder Yohan Cabaye to rediscover his best form at Crystal Palace after admitting that the 29-year-old was lost at Paris Saint-Germain.

Cabaye started only 22 games during his 18-months spell at the Ligue 1 Champions prior to completing his £10million move to Selhurst Park earlier this summer.

The former Newcastle United star struggled for continuity at PSG and Deschamps hopes his shift back to England will allow him to rediscover his absolute best.

Deschamps said: "He was pretty much not playing – he was lost.

"I clearly prefer that he re-finds his football, where he can show again his qualities when he is good in the head as well as his body.

"It is good news, especially for him. He is going to be happier because he is going to play."
