Yohan Cabaye is sure to be unsettled at Newcastle United by Arsenal's opening offer.
The London Evening Standard says Cabaye is thought to be keen on leaving Newcastle after the club flirted with relegation last season but Arsenal's opening offer of £12m is set to be rejected.
The midfielder has been linked with Paris St Germain, Manchester United and Tottenham but last week Magpies boss Alan Pardew spoke of his desire to keep Cabaye on Tyneside.
"For me, of course I want to keep him," he said. "If one of the big clubs comes with a massive offer we will have to react to that."
Arsenal's £12m does not qualify as a "massive" offer for Newcastle, who are expected to demand closer to £20m.
