Newcastle United striker Loic Remy believes the departure of Yohan Cabaye contributed to some poor results for the club.
The Magpies lost the French midfielder to Paris Saint-Germain for around £20million in late January which led to a winless run of four league matches, including three losses, during a bad spell last month.
However, the Toon have picked themselves up with two victories on the trot and leading scorer Remy, who is on loan from QPR, believes the side has worked out how to play without Cabaye which has assisted them in getting back to winning ways.
"We lost a little bit of confidence in those games because we lost an important player in Cabaye," Remy, who has scored 13 league goals this season, told the Evening Chronicle.
"I am very proud of my teammates because we've all worked very hard and we feel that's how we have to play for the rest of the season.
"I feel we can get some good results in the next few games but we want to show the fans that we can fight for every game. They want us to win every game [and] we want this as well."
Eighth-placed Newcastle next meet bottom-of-the-table Fulham at Craven Cottage on March 15.
