Yohan Cabaye has apologised to Newcastle United fans over his behaviour during the transfer window.
The midfielder refused to play as he pushed for a move to Arsenal, but with the market now shut, he was back for victory at Aston Villa.
And Cabaye accepts he has some making up still to do.
"(The fans' response) was very nice to hear. If the fans were - or still are - mad at me for what happened then I understand and I apologise to them," he told nufc.co.uk.
"I want to come back from what has happened. I was happy and I am still happy. I just want to try and score goals and play well."
