BVB's Aubameyang omission leaves door open for Arsenal, Liverpool

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left out of Borussia Dortmund's squad for their clash with Wolfsburg on Sunday for disciplinary reasons.

His omission raised speculation that a move away from the Westfalenstadion was imminent. The 28-year-old has in recent times been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Once again, Aubameyang has been on fire in front of goal for the Bundesliga club. In 23 appearances this season, the Gabon international has scored 21 times. But still BVB are looking to offload Aubameyang due to his behaviour off the field.

Dortmund chief Michael Zorc revealed that lateness was the cause of Aubameyang's disciplinary issues.

"Auba is a special player," said Zorc. "He is extravagant and a colourful character. That does a city like Dortmund a lot of good.

"We have only one problem with him - that is punctuality. We have to be very clear about that."

It is believed Aubameyang isn't pushing for an exit from the club, but his Borussia teammates are become increasingly peeved at his behaviour and would like to see him sold as result.
