BVB coach Stoger happy Aubameyang saga over: But he never let us down

Borussia Dortmund coach Peter Stoger admits he's happy for the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saga to be over.

Aubameyang left Borussia Dortmund for Arsenal yesterday in a €63m deal.

Stoger said: "In my time he never came too late. He skipped the team meeting once and trained badly one time because he obviously wanted to leave.

"But otherwise he behaved sensibly.

"It's good that it's over because the topic has taken so much public space."

Stoger added: "Auba is one of the top players in Germany who wanted to change. It was interesting for the whole of Europe, where he transferred. That's why the coverage is bigger. And that has transferred to everything else that has to do with the team."
